I am married to Mel Denton who appears in some of these photos, they have bought a big smile to my face and I will have to tell her about these tonight.
We were back up in Liverpool (We live in Melton Mowbray) yesterday for Jillian's daughters christening, Mel caught up with Collette, Jill and Lisa (not Cronin) and they were talking about the good old days.
Mel still twirls her baton now and again at home and our daughter Amelia who is 4 has started dancing classes and Mel is desperately trying to teach her how to twirl it!!.
I met Mel through the Majorettes as my friend Jo Burzio started to see Lisa Cronin in the I.O.M as he was there with the Melton Toy Soldiers at the same time.
So I guess I owe you and your troupe big big thank you, as we have been together since 1992 and married since 96 with 2 great kids.
I am sure Mel would love a reunion.

Hello All! Denise Murphy here. Just had to drop you a line as they have an annual event in Jersey called Battle of Flowers....basically the whole place goes crazy and each parish puts together the most intricate floats using fresh flowers...don't ask! Anyway, they have majorettes too - and they are not a patch on us. Sigh. those were the days. Which is why am reminscing looking at the vids on here instead of studying....if anyone hears from Nicki Burns ask her to give me a shout. Too many people with the same name on Facebook. ! Love to all, Den xxx

Ok....Finally got on the site! Hey everyone this is Lisa Cronin, sending greetings from viva Las Vegas! Hope everyone is doing ok! Albert, I can't believe u set this up...Verrry clever! Takes me way back! Good times and fond memories! I have a son called Mason Cole he is almost 3, so I don't think he's a candidate for a tots member. But I will instill the fact that his mother is a world champion majorette!

Hey Albert.....look at all the people now that have been in contact......i'm sure we are well due a reunion.....if you do can you wait till after March as i'm 5 1/2 mths preggas and would really appreciate being able to have a drink......or two, or 10! Like you say....can't believe how many people enjoyed their time in the troupe......petty at the time we moaned, but you did expect us to get our hair done at ridiculous times in the morning even when we were hung over!!!!! Joanne (Nester that is) I know you left me a message on my mobile and asked me to call you, but since then on a drunken night out (things not changed even as a responsible mum - not!) I managed to lose my mobile and don't have any numbers - can you call me on 07787122141 and I will call you back.
Everyone have a great christmas and Alb - see what we can do for 2008 - if you need any help to organise a reunion then count me inx

Hope we can still get away with being seniors and not geriatrics as I dont think you have a section for those yet!! See you in November LINDA ANN xxxxxx(Posted on 2007-10-12 15:03:00 by )

Hi Albert The site is brilliant, I stumbled on it accidently and it brought back a lot of great memories. Lisa and I are still best friends and we often talk about the good old days, I think a reunion would be good and would love to see everyone again. I remember the time we had a competion in Oldam and at the time there was a riot, so we were told not to go near the city centre an of course being teenagers we thought we could look after ourselves and me Lisa and your Gillian went down there to go to a shop not realising how bad it was, we must have been gone for a while because you all came looking for us on the bus.(Posted on 2007-06-24 21:01:00 by )

Yes a reunion is a great idea and something to look into ...be lovely to see you all again Please all keep in touch Albert x(Posted on 2007-06-24 01:07:00 by )

Hi Albert I always wondered if everyone else from the troupe missed those days as much as I did - from the messages on the site it looks like they do. Everytime I hear Rocky or Queen music it takes me back. Those were brilliant days - going all the way back to the Woolton Royals and then the birth of The Liverpool Crusaders - battling against the Runcorn Pied Pipers, The Zodiacs, The Netherley Saints and the Speke Rockettes. Medal Day was always a nerve jangler, I remember Nicky's dance routines on medal day were always daring and filled with energy and sheer love of majorettes. Such a sad loss, but I am sure Jenny is really proud, and rightly so. Thank you so much for giving us all so many brilliant memories of growing up in a really happy environment. And bloody hell were we damn good! Thanks to you. Take care - would love to see everyone again at a reunion - count the Murphy girls in. Hayley ps Down here in Devon majorettes is really popular, I often think about enquiring about getting involved but at the same time don't want to spoil the memories. pps I hope the family are all doing well, my mum says she sees Gillian now and again and that she looks fab - love to all.(Posted on 2007-06-21 10:22:00 by )

Hi Alb, Its great to sort of catch up with the girls in away. Im doing really well Leigh (the little one who used to come dancing out with us, was 18 last week, hes 6 foot now and living in the Isle of Man. See, so them there good old days rubbed off on another generation. They were, and always will be the best days of my life. Weeks away from home, no family except the best family girls could have. I go on our site, but i put the last message on. Lisa Cro is really good still in contact regularly. Her husband and son are great. Hope to hear from u soon, Love and very fond memories Joanne Nester and familyxxxxxxx PPs Jills right we should have a reunion, it would be wonderful to see all the girls, mums and maybe even a few of the old judges. xxx(Posted on 2007-06-20 19:30:00 by )

Hi Albert great to see all of the photos and the video clips brings back some great memories of some great times. How time flies eh.....i am passing website address to hayley and Denise so they can all have a good laugh.I have been telling my little girl who is nearly 8 all about the good laughs we had and enjoyed the dancing and training.
